A family has shared a heartbreaking and emotional update about Brynleigh Pledger, describing a moment filled with overwhelming grief, deep love, and faith as they prepare to say their final goodbyes. In their statement, they referred to their “baby girl” and explained that she will soon be joining her “mommy, brother, and twin sister Bryleigh on those beautiful streets of gold,” after doctors confirmed her condition has reached a point where recovery is no longer possible.
They shared that Brynleigh has “fought so incredibly hard,” but the damage to her brain is now considered unsurvivable. At this stage, they said, “the machines are literally doing everything,” and there is no medical way to continue sustaining her in this condition. The family expressed the unbearable pain of accepting this reality while holding onto their faith. Their message reflected profound sorrow, but also comfort in the belief that Brynleigh and her twin sister Bryleigh Grace—who were inseparable in life—will be reunited again. “I know Bryleigh is impatiently waiting on her other half,” they wrote, imagining a peaceful reunion beyond this life.
Despite their grief, the family also shared a powerful decision: they have chosen to donate Brynleigh’s organs, hoping her life can bring healing and hope to others. They said they cannot change what is happening, but pray her legacy will shine through the lives she may help save. They have requested privacy during this deeply painful time, asking that only close family and friends visit as they prepare to say goodbye.
They also asked for prayers for their son Bentley, who is recovering from a concussion and experiencing memory loss, as well as for their other children and extended family who are also grieving. Through the heartbreak, the family continues to lean on faith, saying they are holding onto peace and strength during what they described as the darkest moment of their lives. The message was signed by Tyler and Miranda Pledger, who thanked everyone for their love, support, and prayers.
