Emergency services are responding to an ongoing building fire in K, where a major road has been shut due to safety concerns.
Scottish Fire and Rescue Service crews have been at the scene on Waterside Road since around 8:04 a.m., working to contain a blaze at a derelict building. Reports indicate that at least six fire appliances are currently involved in tackling the fire.
Police Scotland have closed Waterside Road between the Mollins Road roundabout and Langmuir Road, leading to disruption in the area.
Public transport has also been affected, with local bus services, including McColl’s service 84, being diverted via Kilsyth Road until further notice.
There are no confirmed reports of injuries at this time. Emergency crews remain on-site as efforts continue to bring the fire under control.
Motorists and residents are being advised to avoid the area while the incident is ongoing.
